About Me

"Words are bricks with which you can build a house of ideas." This is a phrase I coined and one I often like to use at the beginning of lectures and keynote speeches. I find that it encapsulates the what, why, and how of my work.

I am a comedy writer who has been rejected from publications as notable as McSweeney's, Points In Case, and The New Yorker. My goal is to make people laugh as I lengthen that illustrious list.

I am a classically trained comedy writer in that I watched a lot of TV as a child and I honed my skills running the gauntlet that is Brown University's extracurricular comedy scene.

I am always excited to collaborate with other writers or recieve frighteningly personal criticism. Either way the best ways to reach me

are smoke signal, telepathy, or email at jordansdep@gmail.com.
